Notwithstanding
the continued erosion of its client numbers, Weber Shandwick/Square
Mile continues to top the rankings of financial PR advisers
with the largest list of quoted clients. However, Weber's
net loss of seventeen stockmarket company clients places
it just three ahead of this quarter's runner-up, Buchanan
Communications. Buchanan's nicely-placed to challenge
for the top position next quarter, though with Financial
Dynamics just two further clients back in third place,
the challenge might well come from this quarter. The
gap between the top three and the rest of the table
is as wide as ever, with no other firm able to boast
a list of quoted companies in three figures.
Brunswick
tops the other 'size' table, the rankings of financial
PR advisers by clients making the most profit, knocking
last quarter's number one, Financial Dynamics, back
into second place. Weber Shandwick/Square Mile holds
onto third place.
Two
of the big three dominating the 'size' tables, however,
experience sharply diverging fortunes in the two 'growth'
rankings. Weber Shandwick climbs four places in the
rankings of advisers by fastest growing clients to claim
fifth place easily the biggest improvement in
the table as a whole. Lansons Communications retains
top slot, ahead of Binns & Co and Hudson Sandler.
Brunswick, by contrast, falls three places to eighth.
And
there's worse to come for Brunswick. In the rankings
of firms by clients with the fastest increasing earnings
Brunswick drops six places to ninth. The ever-consistent
Lanson holds onto top slot, ahead of Binns & Co.
Hudson Sandler moves up a place to third.
